Commuters whose journey to London was interrupted by staff shortages and
bad weather up to two weeks long offered free transportation for
compensation.
First Capital Connect Thameslink and south and east have been
interrupted during the 11 weeks beginning in November.
The company offers ticket holders annual and monthly discounts of 5% and
50% over the next card, or two weeks of free travel.
A spokeswoman for London Travel Watch, welcomed the agreement for
compensation.
Passengers who bought tickets for at least four times a week during the
suspension period may apply for free travel for five days.
Ten days of free travel for those who bought tickets for at least eight
weeks, are offered.
First Capital Connect said the compensation offered in recognition of
disruption caused extreme.
The problems started with selected members of the ASLEF train drivers
union also did not work overtime, disrupting the Thameslink route
between Bedford and Brighton.
Many features of the episode was the service, when snow and ice caused
power problems.
The operator agreed to a wage agreement with the union earlier this
month.
