The Central Military Commission (CMC) of Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for all service personnel in the country’s military forces to show absolute obedience to the Party.

The call was made at a CMC meeting presided over by Hu Jintao, Chairman of CPC Central Military Commission.

All military forces should unify their will to the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee to ensure that they “uncompromisingly obey the Party and Central Military Commission’s command at any time and under any circumstances”, said a statement issued Sunday by the commission.

The statement said China’s national defense and military building had encountered complicated changes in the international and domestic environment since the Fourth Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee in Sept. 2004, when Hu Jintao succeeded Jiang Zemin in the top military post.
