Peter Andre is to join ITV’s flagship daytime programme This Morning as a showbusiness reporter, the broadcaster has confirmed.
The singer, who is in the midst of an acrimonious split from his wife Katie Price, will form part of the show’s revamped line-up from September.
Other newcomers include Changing Rooms host Linda Barker, chef Jean Christophe Novelli and gardener Diarmuid Gavin.
The long-running magazine show returns on 1 September.
Stand-in presenters Eamonn Holmes and his fiance and Ruth Langsford will take the reins for the first two weeks, before Philip Schofield returns with his new sidekick, Holly Willoughby.
The 28-year-old Xtra Factor host was appointed as a replacement for Fern Britton earlier this year, and said she would try to bring her own style to the show.
“You can’t try to recreate anything that’s been in the past,” she told Hello! magazine.
“Fern and Phil were a brilliant couple. They were hilarious and you couldn’t help but laugh along with them.”
Willoughby has had time to grow accustomed to new daytime Schofield, having co-hosted celebrity contest Dancing On Ice with him for three years.
The 21st anniversary of This Morning will be marked in October with on-screen celebrations and surprise guests, ITV said.
